Hey

It's the last leg
nostalgia sets in
I cross the line between
hate and love

I sat on it long enough

I make a list
of things I will miss
I make peace
with a country
I say goodbye to
disillusionment

I am stronger
I realise the difference between
individualism
and independence

I realise:
everyone is good
everyone is trying
everyone is ignorant
everyone is attached
everyone is conscious
everyone desires

Essentially the same
conceptually different

I will miss:
wind
canals
bikes
birds
trees
seasons
especially spring
cold winter air
some silence

Love surprises me:
